The Freehold Township Board of Education, 384 W. Main St., Freehold, NJ is asking bids for the Fire Alarm Systems Replacement & Related Work at the C. Richard Applegate Elementary School (FVF #4010A), 47 Jeanne Brennan Dr.; the Marshall W. Errickson Elementary School (FVF #4010B), 271 Elton-Adelphia Rd.; and the Joseph J. Catena Elementary School (FVF #4010D), 275 Burlington Rd., all located in Freehold, NJ 07728, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Faridy Veisz Fraytak, PC Architects/Planners, 1515 Lower Ferry Road, P.O. Box 7371, Trenton, NJ 08628, telephone number 609-883-7101.
Sealed bids will be received for: SINGLE OVERALL CONTRACT
Bids for the above will be received by the Freehold Township Board of Education Administrative Offices located at 384 W. Main St., Freehold, NJ 07728, until 9:00 A.M. (Prevailing Time) on July 2, 2010, and will be publicly opened and read.
A Pre-Bid meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. on June 21, 2010, at the Board of Education Administrative Offices at the above address. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is recommended.
Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents for the proposed Work are on file at the office of the Architect listed above and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. The Contract Documents may be purchased from the Architect upon payment of $250.00 (Two Hundred Fifty Dollars) for each set, per each building project, with a limit of three (3) sets per bidder. Additional sets may be purchased at the Architect's costs. Checks should be made payable to Faridy Veisz Fraytak, PC. If the bidder requests the bidding documents be mailed, the bidder must provide their direct shipping account number to the Architect. The Architect assumes responsibility for placing the package for delivery only and not for proper and/or timely delivery of said package. Payments will be returned to bidders only upon prompt return of bid documents in good condition. A FEDERAL EXPRESS OR UPS ACCOUNT NUMBER IS REQUIRED FOR SHIPMENT OF THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.

(a) All Pre-Bid Request for Information must state in the Subject Line: "PRE-BID REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION".
(b)All Bidder correspondence must clearly indicate project identification FVF-4010A / 4010B / 4010D, the construction company name, author’s name, address, phone no.. facsimile no. and the addressee of the communication.
(c)E-MAIL COMMUNICATIONS (PRE & POST BID): The use of E-mail is prohibited. Information transmitted via this form of communication will not be recognized as a valid form of communication, and will not be responded to.
b.Direct all questions pertaining to the project as shown and described
in the contract documents to the project designer listed below.

The Bidder shall be a firm classified by the State of New Jersey - Division of Property Management and Construction for one or both of the following classifications:
Single Overall Contract:
C047 - Electrical / or
C049 - Fire Alarm/Signal Systems
If the Bidder is only pre-qualified in one category, the contractor must list the subcontractor bidding the scope of the other category who must be pre-qualified in that category.
