The Hamilton Township Board of Education is asking bids for Toilet Room Alterations at the Joseph C. Shaner Memorial Elementary School (FVF#4052A), 5801 Third St., Mays Landing, NJ 08330, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Faridy Veisz Fraytak, PC Architects/Planners, 1515 Lower Ferry Road, P.O. Box 7371, Trenton, NJ 08628, telephone number 609-883-7101.

Sealed bids will be received for: Single Overall Contract

Bids for the above will be received by the Hamilton Township Board of Education until 2:00 P.M. (Prevailing Time) on June, 25, 2010, and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter in the Business Office Conference Room, 1876 Dr. Dennis Foreman Dr., Mays Landing, NJ 08330.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for June 9, 2010, at 3:00 p.m. at the Joseph C. Shaner Memorial Elementary School, 5801 Third St., Mays Landing, NJ 08330. All prospective bidders are encouraged to attend.

Drawings, Specifications and other Contract Documents for the proposed Work are on file at the office of the Architect listed above and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. The Contract Documents may be purchased from the Architect upon payment of $250.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars) for each set, per each building project, with a limit of three (3) sets per bidder. Additional sets may be purchased at the Architect's costs. Checks should be made payable to Faridy Veisz Fraytak, PC. If the bidder requests the bidding documents be mailed, the bidder must provide their direct shipping account number to the Architect. The Architect assumes responsibility for placing the package for delivery only and not for proper and/or timely delivery of said package. Payments will be returned to bidders only upon prompt return of bid documents in good condition. A FEDERAL EXPRESS or UPS account number is required for shipment of the plans and specifications.

Cost Estimate: $115,000

Scope of Work :
A. Alteration of existing Boy’s and Girl’s gang Toilets. Work includes demolition of existing gang toilets, reconstruction of new plumbing fixtures, toilet accessories, floors and walls, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.

B. Alternate Bid work involves the alteration of existing Staff Toilets and drinking fountains. Work includes demolition of existing Staff Toilets, reconstruction of new plumbing fixtures, toilet accessories, floors and walls, and mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.

QUESTIONS DURING BIDDING PERIOD

a.Questions will not be received or answered verbally. Direct all questions pertaining to the project as shown and described in the contract documents to the project designer listed below.

(A) All Pre-Bid Request for Information must state in the Subject Line: "PRE-BID REQUEST FOR CLARIFICATION".

(B)All Bidder correspondence must clearly indicate project identification FVF-4052A, the construction company name, author’s name, address, phone #, facsimile # and the addressee of the communication.

(C)E-MAIL COMMUNICATIONS (PRE & POST BID): The use of E-mail is prohibited. Information transmitted via this form of communication will not be recognized as a valid form of communication, and will not be responded to.
